Box End Construction:

The ‘Box End’, as it is commonly referred to, is the large section of material at the bottom of the gable end where the Fascia and Bargeboard meet.

Benefits of a Box End:
The purpose of a Box End is to further protect the timber rafters within your roof construction; in addition it reduces the number of joints that would appear on traditional timber methods. In short, it is an aesthetically pleasing way to enclose the area joining the Fascia and Bargeboard.
