What we do before scheduling in an installation

After getting in touch with a member of our team by calling us on 01252 852 336 or contacting us online and discussing the details of your project, we carry out the following:

If a survey is required, a member of our expert surveyor team will give you a call to arrange a time for them to come and visit you at home.

Upon arrival, our surveyor will take detailed measurements of your home, which ensures we're able to provide you with an accurate quote for the work. When doing this they will also inform how long you can roughly expect the work to take.

If you're happy with our quote, we will then take a deposit from you, schedule in a date for the installation and provide you with a schedule of the work.

What should I do before the installation begins?

Prior to Roofline Solutions arriving at your home, you should carry out the following steps:

Clear the workspace by cutting back any overhanging foliage and moving any garden furniture to a safe place.

Ensure there is a large enough space available on your driveway or on the road nearby to accommodate a van and workbench. If a parking permit is required, please obtain this too and notify us of any additional restrictions that are in place.

Please request permission from your neighbours if access is required to their property and if they have any questions, please ask them to get in touch with us and we will be happy to speak with them.

Please inform us if no electricity will be available as we may need to charge power tools throughout the duration of the installation.

If you were advised at the survey that ancillary electrical items, gas or water pipes, TV or telephone cables or sky dishes will need to be relocated, please ensure this has been carried out by a competent professional before we arrive for the installation.

If you will be absent during the installation process, please let us know beforehand and provide us with a contact number for whilst you are away from the property.

By following the aforementioned steps, one of our high-quality installations will be able to progress as efficiently as possible whilst you can be kept in the loop regarding its progress.

What happens after the installation is complete?

Once we have finished working on your home, our installers will:

Answer any questions you have and check you are happy with the work carried out. However, if you are not present upon completion of the work, please perform an inspection at your earliest convenience and notify our Installation Manager within 7 days if you have any concerns or questions.

Perform a water test to ensure any gutters are working properly (if applicable).

If we have not been able to complete the work in the allocated time (a very rare occurrence), our office will organise an appointment for the installers to return at a later date and finish any outstanding work.

How do I maintain uPVC roofline products?

Many of the products we install here at Roofline Solutions are built from high-quality uPVC. This includes fascias & soffits, guttering, decorative products and cladding. Fortunately, uPVC is essentially maintenance-free, however, we recommend:

Wiping uPVC products down annually with a non-abrasive sponge and soapy water to keep them looking their best

Checking and clearing guttering and downpipes at least once a year (you can hire us to do this if you’d rather not do it yourself). If you do choose to do them yourself, pay close attention to downpipe bends as these can become blocked and impede water flow into your drain or soakaway.

How do I maintain composite cladding?

In addition to uPVC cladding, we also offer composite cladding. If you’ve opted for this option, you’ll be pleased to hear that, like uPVC, it can be maintained with ease. Simply wipe it down with a non-abrasive sponge and soapy water on an annual basis to keep composite cladding looking its best and that’s all the maintenance you will need to perform.

How do I maintain seamless aluminium gutters?

Seamless aluminium gutters are a popular option with customers looking for a highly durable, sleek-looking guttering solution that is also 100% recyclable. In addition to these excellent qualities, they're also super easy to keep clean; all you need to do is wipe them down annually with a soft cloth and soapy water and they'll continue to look great.
